TUSCOLA, Ill. (WCIA) -- Tuscola residents are no longer being advised to conserve water, but a boil order is now in effect.

On Friday, city officials posted on Facebook that a water main leak took place in Champaign County at the main that supplies water to the city. As a result, residents were being asked to conserve water. Now, the water main leak due to a sinkhole in Champaign has been fixed, but a boil order has been implemented.

In an announcement Saturday morning, City Treasurer Alta L. Long said Illinois American has completed the main repairs, meaning Tuscola will resume taking on water from their supply, noting that this supply is "plentiful" again.
