FARGO — North Dakota State junior Arianna Blohm ripped the ball through the heart of the Denver defense for match point Saturday at Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse.

Teammate Lauren Jansen could feel the electricity of the moment.

“It is fantastic, especially beating a team as talented as Denver," Jansen said. "There’s really not a word to describe it, it’s awesome.”

Blohm's kill capped a tightly contested 25-20, 25-22, 25-23 victory against the Pioneers in Summit League volleyball before 458 fans.

The Bison (11-4, 5-0 Summit) remained unbeaten in conference play. Denver (12-5, 4-2) had won seven on its previous eight matches.

“It was a lot of clutch moments from a lot of people," said Jansen, who had a match-high 11 kills.
