Aiden Masri potted a pair of goals for third-seeded Clifton as it doubled up sixth-seeded Pompton Lakes by a 4-2 margin in the quarterfinal round of the Passaic County Tournament in Clifton.
Clifton punched its ticket to a semifinal matchup with second-seeded Wayne Hills, winners by score of 2-0 over seventh-seeded Passaic Tech, with the win.
Clifton outscored Pompton Lakes 2-1 in each half of the match. Tarik Pesocan scored one goal and assisted on a second while Emre Pesocan notched the remaining goal.
Samuel Buitrago and Lucas Chen chipped in one assist apiece for Clifton (7-3).
Pompton Lakes falls to 9-4 and will return to regular season play in a road matchup against Kinnelon on Tuesday.
