HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Winds will be light Sunday with afternoon clouds possible for leeward areas.

There’s a First Alert for some unsettled weather ahead. Moisture is expected to increase Monday, bringing more scattered showers.

Meanwhile, an upper level low will drop down toward the state. This, combined with the increased moisture, will increase the chance for heavier showers and isolated thunderstorms around Wednesday and Thursday.

There’s a lot of uncertainty over the exact timing, location and intensity of showers, but confidence is increasing that at least a few thunderstorms may form, especially for the western half of the state.
