Barcelona are keen to convert Marcus Rashford's loan from Manchester United into a permanent transfer. The England international has made a strong impression in his early weeks at the Camp Nou, leaving the La Liga giants feeling fortunate .

Rashford, 27, is available to purchase for £30million at the end of the season. The option to sign him permanently stands at £25m, plus an additional £5m in add-ons, with United also retaining a portion of any future sell-on fee .

Barcelona have been pleasantly surprised by Rashford's swift start, having initially harboured some reservations about finalising a deal.

While the club's own financial constraints were an initial obstacle, there was also a degree of scepticism over why the Reds were willing to let him go .
