Milton Williams is battling an illness, and is now “questionable” to play against the New Orleans Saints, according to NFL Network.
Williams, the starting defensive tackle who signed a $104 million free agent deal with the Patriots during the offseason, was on the injury report during the week for an ankle issue. He was listed as a full participant during Friday’s practice, and not given an injury designation for the game.
Williams, Christian Barmore and Khyiris Tonga have been a formidable front, especially against the run.
The Saints will look to run the football behind Alvin Kamara.
Along with Williams, CB Christian Gonzalez, LB Marte Mapu and CB Charles Woods were also listed as questionable.
