Stephanie Wynne had just loaded her four-year-old twins into the family car, which was parked in the driveway of her Melbourne home, and ducked back inside the house to get her seven-year-old daughter when the terrifying moment struck.

CCTV footage shows two masked offenders running towards Ms Wynne's car. One climbs into the driver's seat and the other jumps into the back passenger seat with her two sons still inside.

The car is then driven away.

In the footage Ms Wynne can be heard screaming as she chases her car down the driveway.

"Scariest thing I've ever experienced in my entire life. I don't think words could encapsulate the fear in that moment," Ms Wynne told 7.30.
