TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Tucson Fire Department responded to an urgent swift water rescue near Grant Road and Craycroft Road at 4:08 p.m. on Sunday.
According to a report, a person fell into the Alamo Wash behind Tucson Medical Center and was swept away by the current. Multiple units, including Ladder 7 and Paramedic 7, were dispatched, with some positioning further west from the initial location.
A local man and his son spotted the individual in distress and managed to pull them from the wash at the Fort Lowell Bridge after following them for about 100 yards.
The rescued person sustained minor injuries but declined transportation to the hospital.
