GREENVILLE, S.C. —

With weeks until the November election, Greenville City Council Candidates spoke to voters who packed a meeting room at the Hughes Main Library on Tuesday.

One of the ballot questions is for the Greenville City District Two seat, which has been held by incumbent Lillian Brock Fleming since 1981.

"We decided some time back to do a neighborhood infrastructure bonding. And that particular bond helps us to fix some things that we haven't had an opportunity to fix. And because we really wanted the penny sales tax to help us do that didn't pass. But we still had things put in place. What we feel is best to help the people," she says.

Her Republican challenger is political newcomer Mike Kilgore.
