LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

A vibrant brewery that moved into the Highlands more than four years ago is saying goodbye.

Hi-Wire Brewing, out of North Carolina, has a taproom under the apartments at the corner of Baxter and Broadway.

It opened in 2021, one of the original businesses to open in that retail space.

It will officially close Saturday, Oct. 18.

Until then, they'll be open regular hours with $2 draft pints, $5 packaged beer to-go and 50% off merchandise.

Although the Louisville location is closing, the brewery says their seven other taprooms in North Carolina and Tennessee remain open.

They did not specifically say why they are closing this location.
