EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - The weather will keep quiet through the end of the work week before a cold front swings through this weekend. Widespread showers and storms are likely Saturday with the potential for some severe storms as well. The front will bring in much cooler air through next week.

For the rest of our Thursday anticipate partly cloudy skies with highs ranging in the low to mid 70s. expect mostly clear skies overnight with temperatures dropping into the lower 50s.

Friday will be dry but with a few more clouds. Expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with highs topping out in the mid-70s. The weather will stay quiet Friday night with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will drop into the upper 50s to lower 60s.
