A 32-year-old motorcyclist died and his 39-year-old passenger suffered life-altering injuries after a two-vehicle crash in Guelph.
Guelph police said on Thursday, just before 9 p.m., a motorcycle travelling westbound on Speedvale Avenue collided with an SUV coming the other way on Speedvale, at the intersection at Metcalfe Street.
The man driving the motorcycle and his female passenger, both from Guelph, were ejected from the bike on impact. The man died at the scene and the woman was taken to a Hamilton trauma centre.
The 81-year-old driver of the SUV, a Guelph resident, was treated in hospital for minor injuries.
The investigation into the collision is ongoing, police said.
