LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The Clark County Fire Department is investigating a fire at a busy southwest Las Vegas valley shopping center that took place on Friday afternoon.
CCFD received reports shortly after 3 p.m. of black smoke coming from a building in the 6900 block of Arroyo Crossing Parkway near Rainbow Boulevard and Sunset Road.
When fire crews arrived, they located black smoke coming from a trash compactor attached to the back of a Best Buy building. The number of crews called in to assist with the fire was upgraded to six fire engines after the initial engine arrived at the scene, CCFD said.
The fire was extinguished around 3:45 p.m.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation Friday night, according to CCFD.
