VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Across Hampton Roads, thousands of protestors took to the streets to protest against the Trump Administration in another "No Kings" protest on Saturday. More than 2,500 separate marches were scheduled across the nation.
Ahead of the protests, Gov. Glenn Youngkin announced the National Guard would be in an "active duty status." However, 13News Now crews did not notice any guard members at the protests in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, or Newport News.
"I am here to be a part of the joyful resistance," said a woman who called herself 'Tired Lady.' "I bought this dragon inflatable to show I will not be slayed, and neither will this country."
