ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. — Two men this week pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact to second-degree murder and received their sentences.

On Oct. 13, Dy'Yon Hall and Aquallo Brown entered their pleas. Hall was sentenced to four to six years. Brown was sentenced to four to five years.

On May 14, 2023, Elizabeth City Police Department officers responded to a verbal disturbance at 1403 River Road. They found Tavori Fletcher, 40, and Cedric Green, 35, both of Elizabeth City, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both victims were taken to Sentara Albemarle Medical Center, and Green was eventually transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for more treatment. Fletcher died of his injuries in the hospital.
