ATLANTA (WANF) — Thousands of “No Kings” protests took place across the country Saturday, with demonstrators rallying against President Donald Trump and what critics describe as increasingly authoritarian policies.
In Atlanta, more than 1,000 people gathered at the Atlanta Civic Center parking lot for “No Kings 2,” one of several demonstrations across the metro area.
Reasons for attending the protest varied among participants.
“This whole regime is bad,” one protester stated.
Another cited religious conviction, saying, “Jesus sides with the poor and immigrants.” A third expressed solidarity with government employees: “I stand with federal workers.”
