Police in northwest Indiana discovered a juvenile involved in a crash was suspected in a double homicide, authorities said Sunday.

At approximately 1:11 a.m., 911 dispatchers were informed of a crash at the intersection of Johnson Road and County Road West 300 North in unincorporated LaPorte, police said. Deputies with the LaPorte County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene and learned a juvenile involved in the crash was involved in a double homicide at a residence in Michigan City.

Michigan City police officers responded to the residence in the 100 block of Schofield Court and located two deceased adults inside, police said in a Facebook post. Detectives were called to the scene, and, as of Sunday evening, were continuing to investigate.
