PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. — Public information officer Craig Cruise confirmed Sunday evening that the Pigeon Forge Fire Department responded to a structure fire at Country Mill Crafts and Antiques, located on the 3000 block of the Great Smoky Mountains Parkway at about 6:13 p.m.
According to Cruise, crews found smoke and flames coming from the building upon arrival.
The business was closed at the time of the incident, and firefighters were able to quickly control the blaze, limiting the damage to a moderate level, according to Crusie.
One firefighter sustained a minor hand injury when a ladder shifted. The firefighter was transported to LeConte Medical Center for evaluation and is expected to make a full recovery, according to Cruise.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the
