URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) -- Trick-or-treaters took over the halls of Urbana's Carle Foundation Hospital for its annual Trunk-or-Treat event, reuniting with nurses who once took care of them.

All the kids in costumes were former patients in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and the event gives nurses a chance to see how far the kids have come since they left the hospital as babies.

For former NICU parents, Devin and Trinity Heinrichs, it's about coming back and saying thanks to those who helped them through hard times.
