A suspected drugs turf war has errupted after a bullet was fired through the door of an Audi after machete thugs targeted a home in Inverclyde.

The firearm is understood to have been discharged through the rear passanger door of a black Audi A3 in the Tasker Street area of Greenock at 11.50am on Friday, October 17. Images shared with the Record show the door of the motor pierced by a bullet hole.

The incident comes hours after a machete wielding gang attacked a property in Gourock. Police were called to a disturbance at 5.55pm on Thursday, October 16.
