A Sequim High School student was arrested on Sunday, Oct. 20 after allegedly threatening violence on TikTok towards at least one other student.

Sequim School District officials alerted families Sunday night with Superintendent Regan Nickels writing that the “messages included threats of violence and were quickly brought to the attention of trusted adults and law enforcement.”

Sequim Police Department made the arrest and the student was in custody as of Sunday night, Nickels wrote.

Sequim Police could not be reached for comment.

Due to privacy laws, Nickels said they are prohibited from sharing personally identifiable information about the students involved.
