It was just before 11 p.m. Monday when Orlando police were called to the Lee Vista Promenade shopping center near Orlando International Airport, where there was a report of a battery and shooting in front of the Epic Theaters.

The parking lot quickly filled with patrol vehicles. Evidence markers drew attention to a couple of items on the ground – what appeared to be a shell casing and a red hat.

But according to the Orlando Fire Department, there was no "patient" to be transported to a hospital.

Not long after the shooting report, Orlando police and other law enforcement agencies converged on Lee and Wymore roads near Winter Park.

There, they found a car that had smashed into several road signs and came to a stop right next to a Tire Kingdom vehicle repair business.
