It is another quiet and cool morning across the state with temperatures in the 40s and 50s.
THE NEXT 24 HOURS: Rain will return by mid-morning and will move southeast as another cold front quickly sweeps through. Rain arrives as early as 10 a.m. in the northwest corner of the state, crossing Interstate 20/59 between noon and 4 pm.
Because rain may be falling during the “peak heating of the day,” this will mitigate the afternoon temperature. Highs will range from 72-78 degrees.
Overnight the sky clears and temperatures will fall into the 40s.
