An Edinburgh man has been arrested after armed police were called to a 'disturbance' on Monday afternoon.

Around 2pm on October 20, a large emergency response rushed to Minto Street - including a number of armed officers.

After arriving at the scene, a 30-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection.

Officers confirmed he was due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday, October 21.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2pm on Monday, 20 October, 2025, police received a report of a disturbance within a property in Minto Street, Edinburgh.

"Officers attended and a 30-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

"He is due to appear to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 21 October, 2025.
