An Edinburgh teenager has been rushed to hospital after being struck by a bus near a school.

The incident took place on South Gyle Access near Forrester High School around 2.50pm on Tuesday afternoon.

A large police response was at the scene and the road was taped off. Pictures taken from the surrounding area show police carrying out inquiries near a bus.

A male teenager was rushed to hospital for treatment. Inquiries are ongoing but the road has since re-opened.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 2.50pm on Tuesday, 21 October, 2025, we received a report of a crash involving a teenage pedestrian and a bus at South Gyle Access, Edinburgh.

"The male was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing. The road has re-opened."
