CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — The Grog Shop is bringing back the fifth edition of its one-night-only baking competition based on television’s “The Great British Bake Off.”

The next iteration of the Great Grog Bakeoff is set for 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11. Amateur bakers get a chance to show off their baking chops, with this event’s category being fruit cake. Don’t worry — it’s not the dense fruitcake typically eaten around Christmas. The idea is for participants to create a cake inspired by fruit flavors, whether it’s fillings, frostings or beyond.
