The state Department of Transportation has closed the bridge over Twelve Mile Creek along Riggins Bridge Road in Pickens County for repairs following a routine inspection.

The bridge will remain closed until repairs can be made. Riggins Bridge Road will be open to local traffic only. Motorists are advised to follow posted detour instructions, slow down and be aware of workers in the construction zone.
