Victim identified in deadly Gibson County fire

GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. (WEVV) — Authorities have released the name of a woman who died in a fire in Patoka.

First responders were called to the scene of the fire at a home on Southwest Mill Street in Patoka on Monday afternoon, around 4:45 p.m.

During the incident, officials say a victim was found dead.

Authorities have now identified the victim as 65-year-old Kristela D. Prunty, of Patoka.

The Gibson County Coroner's Office, Indiana State Fire Marshal's Office, and Gibson County Sheriff's Office are each investigating this incident at this time.
