KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A historic Kansas City landmark designed by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright is receiving a major boost for preservation.

The National Trust for Historic Preservation has awarded a $160,000 grant to Community Christian Church as part of its National Fund for Sacred Places program.

The program is a nationwide effort providing $8.73 million this year to help 30 historic congregations and architecturally significant faith communities restore and preserve their aging buildings.

Through this program, faith communities can receive capital grants and hands-on technical assistance to help with preservation projects like roof repairs, HVAC replacement, waterproofing, etc.
