PORTLAND, Ore. — All lanes of northbound Interstate 405 were briefly closed near the Burnside overpass in downtown Portland due to a multi-vehicle crash at around noon Tuesday, causing a significant backup on the freeway.

Two lanes reopened at around 12:15 p.m., but a significant backup continued to stretch back past the junction with Highway 26. Drivers are advised to slow down or move over for worker safety.

All lames were back open at around 12:30 p.m.

Portland police said one person from a vehicle in the crash was being transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
