WEBER COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) — Lane closures are in effect and traffic is delayed due to an accident involving a semi-truck on I-84.
According to the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), all lanes and the right shoulder on the westbound lanes of I-84 are closed near milepost 90 in Weber Canyon.
Sergeant Mike Alexander, with the Utah Highway Patrol, says that a semi-truck tipped over and is spilling liquid fertilizer onto the highway. Fortunately, the driver of the truck only experienced minor injuries.
Initial estimates state that the road should be cleared up around 5:02 p.m., though that may be subject to change. Anyone travelling westbound should "expect delays between Mountain Green and South Weber", according to UDOT.
