COLUMBUS, Ohio — Arron Acuna has been in the hospital since Oct. 1, recovering from serious injuries to his leg after a hit-and-run on the south side of Columbus.
Acuna was walking home from Roosters in German Village when he was hit by a car while crossing South High Street.
Police said a white vehicle hit him, then fled.
“How can you possibly hit someone and keep going?" Acuna questioned.
He wondered this from his hospital bed, where he is preparing to undergo his sixth surgery. Acuna said he has around 19 or 20 broken bones.
“My everyday normal life is not going to be the same. Doctors told me I may never walk right again. I will probably never be on a ladder again, which hurts knowing that is what I do for a living,” Acuna said.
