BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) - Duncan Paddick, the head coach of the Binghamton Patriots boy's basketball state championship team from the 2024/25 season, is stepping down.

He confirmed he would be stepping down with News34 Sports and will be finishing his administrative internship to become a principal.

Paddick helped lead the team to the Class AA NYSPHSAA state title over the Niskayuna Silver Warriors in a double overtime thriller, 75-61, for their first state championship since 1986.

Assistant coach Michael Constantine has been approved as the next head coach of the program in a board meeting on Tuesday night.
