TAZEWELL COUNTY ( 25News Now ) - A dump truck and sport utility vehicle collided at a South Pekin intersection Tuesday afternoon.

The crash was reported about 3:30 p.m. on Illinois Route 29 and Hurt Road, near Casey’s.

The Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office said both drivers were hospitalized, but their conditions are not available.

The road was closed for about three hours for deputies to investigate and clear the scene.
