A band of heavy rain is set to batter Coventry later this evening. The Met Office issued a yellow warning for rain, which comes into force at midnight tonight (October 22).

But the heavy rain is set to arrive across Coventry and Warwickshire earlier, according to the Met Office's online weather map. It shows a band of rain moving in at around 10pm.

This will last for around an hour before another band of rain arrives in the early hours of tomorrow (October 23). The school run and rush hour tomorrow morning is also set to be very wet as the map shows yet more heavy rain arriving.

The map shows that the rain should start easing off into the afternoon, but the yellow warning lasts until 9pm tomorrow night.
