RUSTON, La. (WAFB) - A State Office of Alcohol Tobacco Control Agent was arrested this week in Ruston accused of offering money to a minor boy for sex.
The Office of Alcohol Tobacco Control is located in Baton Rouge and is tasked with issuing alcohol permits to businesses across the state.
Troy Hughes Jr. was booked into the Lincoln Parish Detention Center on charges of possession, distribution of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and soliciting prostitutes.
The Ruston Police Department was conducting routine patrols when they saw a car at City Park, according to our sister station, KNOE-TV. Hughes was allegedly standing outside the driver’s door with a minor in the driver’s seat. Investigators said the minor told them Hughes offered him money in exchange for sex.
