BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - One person is facing charges in connection with a shooting that left a blind man injured outside a store in September.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, officers arrested Hope Keaira Cornelius, 35, for principals to attempted second-degree murder and illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities.
The charges stem from a shooting that occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, in the 4800 block of Beechwood Drive.

Arrest records state that the victim, who is legally blind, was waiting for his friend to escort him inside the City Town Meat Market just before the shooting.
The victim fell to the ground when the shooting began, but he did not
