PORTLAND, Ore. — A person was stabbed Wednesday afternoon in North Portland's Humboldt neighborhood, police said.

Officers responded to the area of North Albina Avenue and Killingsworth Court around 12:29 p.m. Wednesday and found a woman who had been stabbed. The suspect had left the area by the time police arrived, but police found her near North Killingsworth Street and North Minnesota Avenue, where she was arrested. A knife was seized as evidence.

The woman was taken to a hospital by ambulance. Police said they did not know how serious her injuries were but said on Thursday that she was expected to survive.
