Thursday is off to a chillier start in Acadiana as temperatures dip into the 40s to 50s. Another beautiful day is ahead as we turn pleasantly warm for the afternoon as highs reach the lower 80s. Skies stay mostly sunny with a abundance of high clouds. Acadiana won't be as chilly tonight as lows fall into the upper 50s.
We are still monitoring a heavy rain threat for the area this weekend. Showers and storms will become likely Saturday afternoon with rainfall continuing into Sunday morning. Heavy rains are possible that could lead to localized flash flooding in isolated areas.
