Big changes are on the horizon over the next 36 to 48 hours as a storm system moves in bringing widespread rain and storms.
Clouds will increase today, with just a 20% chance for a few spotty showers around midday, possible even an isolated thunderstorm. Otherwise, most locations will remain dry with afternoon highs into the low 80s.
A few scattered storms will be possible Friday morning but the highest rain and storm coverage arrives Friday night. A FLOOD WATCH has been posted for much of North Texas from Friday evening to Saturday afternoon. Some of the rain will be heavy at times with a couple of strong thunderstorms capable of gusty winds and hail. The rain will stretch into Saturday morning.
While the midday hours may be dry Saturday, showers and thunderstorms look to redevelop tow
