LSU redshirt sophomore left tackle Tyree Adams may not return from a high ankle sprain this season, coach Brian Kelly said on his radio show Thursday.

Adams suffered the injury last weekend against Vanderbilt and Kelly said that Adams underwent tightrope surgery on the ailment on Tuesday. Not only will Adams be out for this Saturday's game against Texas A&M (6:30 p.m., ABC), but he may miss the next four to five weeks as he recovers.

"That generally takes four to five weeks to come back," Kelly said. "So maybe we'll have them by the end of the year, maybe not."

Adams has surrendered 11 quarterback pressures this season, according to Pro Football Focus, but no sacks.
