A South Glens Falls man was arrested following a rape investigation, New York State Police announced on Friday, Oct. 24.
Daquan T. Hayes, 22, is charged with two counts of Rape in the Third Degree after an investigation into sexual contact with a minor, according to state police.
Troopers began investigating a report of inappropriate sexual contact between an adult and a minor on Friday, June 13. Investigators determined Hayes allegedly had sexual contact with a child under 17 in Corinth, NY in June 2025, state police said.
Hayes was taken into custody in Fort Edward, NY and transported to SP Wilton for processing, according to state police. His preliminary arraignment was held at the Corinth Town Court, resulting in his remand to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility in lieu of $20,000 cash, $40,000 bond, or a $200,000 partially secured bond, authorities said.
