Being the opposing team against Hopewell on Friday night was no easy task.

Not only did visiting North Catholic have to deal with Hopewell on its own field but also took on the Vikings during senior night. Oh, and a big production from KDKA and being the Steelers’ high school showcase game of the week was another added bonus.

With all the hype and momentum surrounding the Vikings, the Trojans had a tall task. But North Catholic walked out of Tony Dorsett Stadium with a win, defeating Hopewell 44-36.

“You just gotta give credit to the kids and the coaches,” North Catholic coach Chris Rizzo said. “They spend so much time preparing for these moments, and it just feels good to see that their hard work is paying off.”
