The moment a heartless thief broke into a dead grandmother's home before raiding the property was captured in sickening footage.
Grieving daughter Lanna McDonald, 55, said the family feels "violated" after the intruder rummaged through her mother's ashes during the Bathgate break-in on Birniehall Road.
The incident took place on Saturday October 18 at 3am, with the masked bandit tearing off the Ring doorbell before ripping through the backdoor of the home, the Daily Record reports.
Lanna's mum, Catherine Hughes, died from breast cancer aged 76 in July and the grieving family were still too upset to clear out the home before it was targeted.
