DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A man is dead after being struck by two vehicles in Durham early Saturday morning, police said.

According to the Durham Police Department, officers were notified around 4:20 a.m. about a man walking in the road of the 3800 block of South Miami Boulevard.

While the officers were heading to the scene, according to Durham police, a motorist called 911 to report they had hit the man. During the call, the motorist said the man was struck by a second vehicle.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Durham police.

Police said South Miami Boulevard will be closed between IBM Drive and Patriot Drive while they investigate the crash. No further information is available as of Saturday morning.
