: The Garo Students Union(GSU) of Karukol unit of South Garo Hills stated that it is essential and mandatory to procure TNT (Trading for Non-Tribal’s) from the GHADC by the Non-Tribals to carry out any business activities here in Garo Hills.

“On October 23, 2025, the Garo Students Union, Karukol made a surprise visit to Balkal Bazaar (weekly Market), Karukol to check the Non-Tribals who came from the neighboring State Assam for business purposes has no valid documents from the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council (GHADC), Tura. Upon cognizing, the Union is quite shocked and surprise to assimilate as why these Non-Tribal’s are doing business here without valid documents from the District Council?” said Francis R Marak, general secretary of Garo Students Union, Karukol regional unit.
