The body of a kayaker, who went missing Sunday on Mountain Island Lake, has been found.

First responders say Pablo Benitez Neri disappeared after his kayak flipped near Highway 73.

Crews found his body just after 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening near Cowans Ford Dam in the Catawba River.

It was in a tunnel structure used for dam water flow.
