INDEPENDENCE, Ky (WXIX) - A construction worker was injured after being hit by a vehicle, leading to the driver being arrested, according to the Kenton County Sheriff’s Department
Deputies say they were called to Madison Pike near Wayman Drive for a pedestrian hit by a car around 1:53 p.m. Saturday.
A construction worker was directing traffic when a man driving a pickup truck hit him, causing injury, deputies say.
The construction worker was taken to UC Medical Center for treatment, where his condition is listed as stable, according to deputies.
The driver of the pickup truck was arrested shortly after the incident and is being charged with felonious assault.
He is currently being held at Kenton County Detention Center.
