CONCORD – Janani Muniswamy has done everything she can to make herself indispensable to the Garnet Valley volleyball team.
Last year, she went to head coach Eryn Brady with a question: What could she do to keep the Jaguars in a 5-1 rotation, where only one setter runs the offense? Brady had toggled between a 5-1 and a 6-2 with two setters, but Muniswamy made sure the decision became easy.
Muniswamy has proven she’s the one. She’s that good.
“I said to her, ‘You need to fly, you need to be big at the net and you need to go up.’ And she does it,” Brady said. “She does what I tell her to do and what she’s worked on. She is such a hard worker. If I say to her, ‘You need to go line,’ she goes line (hits the ball down the sideline). She always listens and does her best all the time.”
