WOODSTOCK, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - Hundreds of participants gathered in Woodstock for the second annual Live Like Laken 5K, a walk and run honoring Laken Riley, the Augusta University student killed while running on the University of Georgia campus last year.

Bond denied for S.C. judge in child sex abuse materials case

Bond has been denied for the former Charleston County magistrate judge who was arraigned Thursday morning on federal child pornography charges.

The community event drew runners and walkers who came together to remember Riley and support the causes she represented.

The Laken Hope Foundation, established in Riley’s memory, supports organizations that promote safety awareness for women and provides tuition assistance for nursing students.

The foundation continues Riley’s legacy
